Ras Mohammed & White Island: Essential FAQs
Is snorkeling equipment included?
Base boat trip prices exclude snorkeling gear (mask, fins, and life jackets). You are welcome to bring your own personal gear, or you can rent professional equipment at the Sharm marina before departure for a small daily fee.
Will we definitely visit the White Island?
Yes, visiting White Island (The Egyptian Maldives) is a core part of our Yalla Holiday itinerary. As it is a natural sandbar, our captains monitor tide levels and wind speeds to ensure you step on its pristine white sands at the best possible time.
Are passports mandatory for the boat trip?
Yes. Per Egyptian Coast Guard regulations, all passengers must carry their original passport (or a very clear copy). This is mandatory for police clearance at the Sharm El Sheikh port before the boat departs.
What is the National Park Entrance Fee?
As Ras Mohammed is a protected area, there is a mandatory entry fee (approx. $5 USD). This goes directly to the preservation of the Red Sea coral reefs. Our Yalla Holiday guide will help collect this on the morning of your excursion.
Are there vegetarian/vegan lunch options?
Absolutely! Our onboard BBQ buffet includes fresh salads, Egyptian rice, pasta, and grilled vegetables. Vegetarians and vegans will find plenty of delicious options alongside the main seafood and meat dishes.
